The URSU Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Karminder Singh from the
office of Vice-President External Affairs to be effective immediately. Karminder cited
personal family commitments as the cause for this resignation. URSU sincerely thanks
Karminder for his work at the student union and wishes him well in the future.
While it is unfortunate that URSU has lost two executive members within one semester,
we understand that personal life situations can change at anytime and that such
circumstances cannot be foreseen. URSU wishes to assure its members that it has a very
committed and dedicated Board and a strong administrative team in place that has the
capacity to function efficiently and effectively until a new executive team is elected and
takes office in May 2020. We do not foresee URSU’s service levels or programs being
adversely impacted as a result of these unfortunate recent resignations. URSU will
continue to be a collaborative partner with students in fostering a holistic, safe and fun
student experience.
