The University of Regina Students’ Union is hosting an online town hall via Zoom August 11th at 3:30pm to hear from our members, the students of the University of Regina and its Federated Colleges. This event is an opportunity for students to come together with the Executive Committee of the University of Regina Students’ Union during these challenging and anxious times to discuss the Fall semester. It will also serve as a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to ask questions about the evolving educational environment in regards to COVID-19 and hear about how it will affect their academic experience.
According to the survey results conducted by URSU (until its latest response on July 19th) students are extremely worried about the quality of education they are going to receive through online learning. The town hall will focus on the quality of education with remote learning and updates on the university’s plans for the fall semester and will attempt to provide a clear picture for students about their university life.
Students have been asking questions about the course delivery methods for Fall/Winter terms, residence availability, and ancillary fees, among many other things. The URSU Town Hall will be a welcoming space for students to hear what the University is planning regarding these topics, and a chance to submit questions they want answered by the University of Regina administration.
