The University of Regina is relaying information provided by Saskatchewan Health that the U of R main campus was the site of a possible COVID-19 exposure. An individual who attended the main floor of the Education Building (the common area close to the Riddell Centre) on Friday, October 30 between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm was likely infectious at the time.
It is important to note that the University does not have access to any further information regarding the identity of the individual or specifics around exact times or location.
Public Health officials are advising anyone who may have been at this location on the specified date and time to self-monitor for 14 days. Anyone developing symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately self-isolate and call the HealthLine at 811 to arrange for testing. It is important to note that people may develop symptoms from two to 14 days following exposure to the virus.
