We at the University of Regina Students’ Union (URSU) work to provide a caring community where every student can feel connected and thrive.

We find strength through our connections and collaborations with others. In the spirit of representing all of our members, URSU is looking for students of the University of Regina and its Federated Colleges to join our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.

The purpose of the EDI Committee is to reflect the diversity of the membership and staff of URSU as an organization and prioritize the voices of the members depicting equity, diversity, and inclusion at the University of Regina. This committee is entrusted with ensuring that members of diverse groups have the ability to speak on issues that directly affect different communities at the University of Regina and impact their educational experience.

As a member of the EDI committee you can help all students equitably by impacting areas of concern and organizing engagement initiatives including but not limited to:

· highlighting and educating folks on issues that impact racialized students;

· supporting those who face barriers due to systematic barriers; and

· fostering an anti-racist environment through community-building events, cultural events, advocacy, and campaigns.

The EDI Committee has been created with the goal of building an anti-racist approach to training and development sessions, and cultural awareness training within the URSU and the University and you can be a part of achieving that goal.

For more information please contact exec@ursu.ca or click here.
