The University of Regina Students’ Union is giving students and the community the chance to be informed and be involved by attending the All Candidates Forum for the 2019 Canadian federal election! We’ve gathered the candidates for the Regina Wascana riding from five of the registered political parties so you can ask your questions and hear answers from all sides. Join us in the Riddell Centre Multi Purpose Room at the University of Regina at 10am on September 23rd.

Candidate Info:
Ralph Goodale, (Liberal Party of Canada), has been the Member of Parliament for Regina Wascana for 26 years. Mr. Goodale is currently the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness. He previously has been Minister of Finance, Government House Leader, Minister of Natural Resources and Minister of Agriculture. A University of Regina alumnus, Mr. Goodale is also a graduate of law from the University of Saskatchewan.
Michael Kram, (Conservative Party of Canada), is a University of Regina alumnus. He is a senior IT analyst with Paradigm Consulting. Prior to working for Paradigm, Michael worked for the Department of National Defence and other companies in the high-tech sector. In addition to holding a degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina, he has also earned Bachelor of Arts with Great Distinction in Economics. Mr. Kram was the Conservative Party candidate in Regina Wascana in the 2015 election.
Tamela Friesen, (Green Party of Canada), has long held interest in public issues. For the last six years, she has been in the role of Admission Specialist for graduate studies at the University of Regina. Tamela is particularly interested in the issues of climate change, food security, poverty elimination, elder care and reconciliation. She received a Masters Certificate in Public Policy in 2016 from the U of R.
Hailey Clark (New Democratic Party) has worked for many years in the retail, service and tourism industry, and now works in the auto industry. She grew up in a small farming community near Swift Current. Ms. Clark ran for the NDP in the 2016 provincial election. Her focus is on issues such as making life more affordable for families, healthcare, universal pharmacare, affordable housing and climate change.
Mario Milanovski (People’s Party of Canada) is originally from the former Yugoslavia. It was growing up during turbulent times in his native country when he first became interested in politics, witnessing the problems created by poor leadership. Mario emigrated to Canada with his wife and daughters in 1998, and has worked in the IT sector after obtaining a Business Administration certificate and Computer Information Systems diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
