ATTENTION STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF REGINA
The 2022 URSU By-Election is coming and it’s your chance to be instrumental in providing direction to your Students’ Union on how best to support U of R students. A small investment of your time could enrich the lives of your fellow students and take their educational experience to new heights!
Consider running for one of the several positions available on the University of Regina Students’ Union (URSU) Board of Directors or the University’s Senate, Council and/or Executive of Council.
Candidates interested in running for election are encouraged to stop by the URSU Offices to speak with the General Manager to gain a better appreciation of roles, responsibilities and expectations.
An All Candidates Information Session with the Chief Retuning Officer (CRO) will take place on October 12 at 5pm over Zoom ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES.
The nomination period is October 4th to October 10th. Nomination packages will be available at the URSU Member Services Desk beginning on October 4th 9am. Forms must be submitted October 10th by 4pm.
Campaigning will take place from October 14th at 12am CST and will end October 23rd 11:59pm CST.
Voting will begin 12am CST on Monday October 24th and the polls will close at 11:59pm CST. A voting link will be sent to URSU members’ student email addresses.
The All-Candidates Forum will be held over Zoom October 17 from 4pm to 6pm. Everyone is invited to attend the forum to hear from the candidates and ask questions about what they plan to do to for you and other students.
If elected you will be a driving force behind URSU’s mission to “provide students high quality supports, services, opportunities, and advocacy.” You will be responsible for ensuring that all students have a fun, safe and healthy time at their university. Use your passion and perspective to elevate the voices of students at the U of R, its Federated Colleges, and Satellite Campuses, by getting involved in the URSU 2022 By-Election!
