As a member of the University of Regina Students' Union you are always welcome to attend the Board of Directors Meetings.
Presentations to the Board
Should you want to make a presentation about an event your holding or request a donation for an event you can contact the Chair of the Board of Directors by phone at 586-8811. You can also send an e-mail to chair@ursu.uregina.ca
Board of Directors Meetings
The BoD meets regularly to discuss issues that concern the Studens' Union and make decisions on how to react to them. They discuss how to properly spend student fees so the needs of all students' are met. All decisions are done by first making a motion of intent. This motion must be made by a BoD member and must then be second by another BoD member. The motion will be discussed by the board. Once the discussion is done and question is called the BoD then votes on the motion. For further information concerning the procedures of these meetings you can consult a copy of Robert's Rules of Order.
Quorum
The BoD requires a quorum of 50% + 1 of the elected members in order for the meeting to take place. Each meeting follows an agenda to ensure it runs smoothly. The Chair of the BoD controls the meetings and all motions and requests are directed to the Chair.
